Hi, I Was Wondering If Anybody Has Ordered Or Used The Coversion Kit Sold by The Parts Place, Inc. Here Is The Link To The Kit... http://thepartsplaceinc.com/pop-up/popu ... T9895Z.jpg Any Help Would Be Appreciated.. This Is The Cheapest Kit I Have Found. Thanks Again

Just curious as to why you would want to switch from an auto to a 4 speed????

My first car was a Stick shift, and grew to love it. Automatics are so easy to drive... to me there isnt much fun in it--> Put it in gear and go. There is nothing better than being able to shift through the gears yourself. Just Like Stick shift over Automatics thats all.

I totally agree. I did a swap on a GP years back. Used the pedals and linkage from a 70's Nova.

Kit seems pretty complete. But is the pedal mount bracket for auto and manual cars the same so that the pedals can be swapped in? I can't remember without crawling up under the dash and eyeballing it. And I don't see the neutral start switch that fits behind the clutch pedal, although it's not absolutely necessary. Sure beats scrounging around for all the parts. Has anyone totalled up the pieces and is it a deal or just a draw? As for a manual trans, it's all I drive. JBreu don't be offended but all my cars are stick so the women can't drive them.

The Kit From The Parts Place Is About $309. I Believe That Is A Deal!! When Other Sets Sell For $400 And Are Not As Complete. I Have Been Looking Around For Kits And The One Mentioned I Believe Is The Most complete For The Money. As Far As Neutral Saftey Switches... i am not to worried about not having one.. once you drive stick for 3-4 years your first instint is to presh the clutch in before anyhting. I Think i am going to order the kit tomorrow and will post pictures and keep you guys updated in my swap. Bonne- I totally agree, My girl can not drive standard, another reason why i am doing the swap. Let The Boys Play With Thier Toys!

What if you wanted to go with a hydraulic set up? Would the parts in this kit work if you get all the hydraulic related parts?

I Am Not Sure... Im Going With A Mechanical Set Up... Im Old School Like That... I Am sure you Could Use The Pedals, But Why Would You Buy The Kit For Just The Pedals?

Actually.. After Thinking About It.. You Might be Able To but I Know There Are People On Here Who Have Done The Hydraulic Swap. So You Could Start A Thread About That
