Tok of the oil pan the other day on the engine i'm rebuilding, and i noticed that one piston was missing one skirt 🙁 there is no visible damage in the cylinder as i can se.
I was hoping to just re-ring the pistons.

so my Q is! Do i need to change all pistons now? Do i ned to bore the cylinders or is it enough to honing them??
What pistons should i use? brand, qality etc..

I was thinking of Forged 10.25:1 pistons and 403 rods w/ARP rod bolts. Any ideas to get som power without spending big bucks.

Check the cylinders for signs of seizure... And have the bores checked for roundness/trueness and if they're round, straight, and within spec I'd say you're okay to just hone it out. But I'm guessing you're going to have to bore it, I don't know what would break a piston skirt like that other than maybe if the motor overheated, seized from getting too hot, or piston slap from sloppy tolerances?
