Whats everyone using for frame and floor pan paint? Im looking for something I can shoot on, no brushing, rollers or spray cans. No crazy prepping like POR15 requires. Basically something where I can sand/scuff the parts, prime them and paint them.

My next question is how much would it take theoretically to paint the frame, complete underside of the body, and the inside floor pans? Thanks

Will you be on your back, working under jackstands? I'd budget a weekend. The hardest part is getting all the dirt, rust and grease off. The painting goes fast - I use the disposable foam brushes, but the rattle cans are faster. Check out the Eastwoods stuff. Chassis Coat satin looks the best with the least effort.

Frame is seperated from the body. Everything will be painted seperatly.

Lol, I hate when that happens

Well, if the frame is already off, get it sandblasted. See how far up inside you can ask them to do. Unasked-for advice: I'd also weld in the fishplates on the side rails. Then choose your route on the Refinishing Post. Search under JoesRegalProject recent posts...

Frame is already sanded and cleaned for the most part. The front section is smoothed out with filler so blasting it at this point isn't happening. It's boxed and notched and once all the welding is done I will clean it all by hand. Im basically just looking to see what paint everyone is using besides POR15. I know POR15 can be sprayed on but the prepping for that is a pain in the *ss.

You're much farther along than I knew. If you've applied filler to imperfections on your frame, then spray is the only way to match that standard. Perhaps an epoxy paint is the right answer? Tough and still show-quality. I'm at the end of my suggestion list.

Yea when it comes to different types of paint thats where im lost. I see enamel, epoxy, urethane, etc.... Most of the kits I see have different sh*t for rust, grease, etc.... I don't need any of that. Just a tough paint. Or if there's something I can spray on it like a primer/sealer and then top coat it will basic gloss black or silver base coat.
