The situation I'm thinking of is this. Let's say you're a construction worker, and you're up on the second floor level installing steel girders. It's a dangerous place to be. There's a sign that says "no trespassing, violators will be prosecuted". A homeless guy sneaks by security, climbs up to the second floor, and approaches you. If you walk up to the guy and shove him off because he's "not supposed to be up there" and he falls to the ground and dies, you're going to be responsible for his death. JMO.
I respect your opinion and I mean no disrespect but there is a HUGE difference between these two scenarios. This kid rushed Randy atleast 3 times that night. I dont believe Randy shoved him because the kid "didnt belong there" but because he was probably annoyed by that time not only at the kid but the lack of security. Plus no one knows what that kid could have done if he wasnt removed from the stage. Again think back to 12/8/2004 when Nathan Gale rushed onstage and murdered 5 people in the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio. And theres also a misleading detail saying the kid died on the spot, he died about a month later from swelling and bleeding "BELIEVED" to be from the incident.

Exactly, all the more reason he should be held responsible, e.g. tried in court. If Randy had a problem with security, he should have stopped the show and talked to security and not waited until the situation escalated and felt he had to take matters into his own hands.

People are murdered every day, unfortunately. Still doesn't give license to endanger people's lives because you're annoyed with them. Stop the show and talk to security. There's a massive difference between being annoyed with someone and reasonably believing that your life is in danger.

Did he have another traumatic head injury in the meantime? If not, if he didn't have a history of brain swelling and bleeding, and if the last injury he received was due to hitting his head on the floor because he was pushed there, even if it was an unintentional injury, that's the definition of manslaughter.

I also respect your opinion and mean no disrespect, but in this case there doesn't seem to be an excuse for committing an act that led to someone else's death. People are responsible for their actions. The kid was an idiot for doing what he did, and that should play in Randy's favor. If the kid got onstage and shoved Randy and Randy hit his head and died, I'd be standing up for Randy. And I'm not saying he's guilty, just that it ought to go to trial so the legal system can take it's course. If he's found innocent, then I say he's innocent. But I'll bet you Randy will think twice about shoving anybody else from now on.

I bet $$$ he never goes back so this debate on 'humanity' is a little weak guys. The guy finally got knocked off stage after strike 3 he basically got what he asked for. I don't like that band or Randy much either but in this case I think they should just be happy with his bond and he should never return there and call the whole thing even. I guess all the rednecks who assembled that stage in indianapolis for the country band should be charged with criminal negligence resulting in death and go to prison too based on your guys logic. Clearly the people who assembled that faulty stage are more guilty of causing a fatality than Randy Blythe. Call security? They probably would have done even worse to that guy have you seen the type of guys who do security for concerts lol
