The weight of the engine will be fully assembled, DRY. Or as dry as I can get it. Then just add the weight of the fluids afterwards. It's damn near impossible to keep all of the coolant in the engine during removal. Plus I'm taking the engine down to the short block any way to inspect, and weigh that.

are you going to change the springs each time you have passengers in the car?
11/10

What I'm gonna do is next spring revamp the whole suspension, it needs it. I can fully collapse the suspension by pushing on it with one hand. Shocks, springs, bushings (maybe body bushings), everything's getting replaced. I figured I'll get the dry weight of my fully assembled engine to boot and that will help me influence my spring choice.
