Front turn signal problem.

If the socket is working properly what about changing the seal. I don't like the aftermarket sockets when you have to cut the existing wire to butt connect the wires for the new socket. You can find the new sockets on the rack at just about any auto parts store.

There are two separate sockets. One o top, one on the back. Discovered the top socket also has a weather pack connector to disconnect it from the harness. So I tried submerging the light housing with the top socket and it leaked bad.

This top socket is made of rubber and is supposed to self seal. However, it is poorly made as there is a high casting flash on the sealing surface of the socket which prevents a good seal. Sadly, the contacts in both sockets are badly corroded and probably need replacing. One bulb is rust frozen in its socket.

I would also recommend applying some dielectric grease after you replace the socket(s).
I think Dorman sells the replacement sockets.

The Regal turn signal housing is a two pod setup.

The little plus sign shape hole on top is where the troublemaker 90 degree socket goes.

my right side DRL/signal light socket went bad today and nothing I tried fixed it. I went through 2 aftermarket sockets before I found one that was made properly. The first one I wired up before checking and the bulb would not lock in place, I could spin the bulb in the socket and the second I tested before wiring it up and the bulb turned in that that one as well . So when you go to get the socket I suggest bringing a bulb with you to test so you don't have to run back to the store like I did.

I was afraid replacement sockets may be a fitment issue. That's why I fixed the broken ground terminal in mine(intermittent not working)
