Like said before, look at fuel supply lines very carefully. I doubt it is a vapor lock. Run a hose from fuel sender to pump. You could still have a bad pump or possibly a worn cam lobe the drives the pump

I doubt its the cam, Seems it comes and goes and the El Camino has had this problem with two different motors. The Car the first motor went in to never had this problem. So today I blow out the lines from the tank to the fuel pump. Fuel line was fine but the line for the charcoal canister is plug. so I ran a new vent line. I replaced all the rubber lines from the tank to the hard lines and from the hard line to the fuel pump, new gas cap and a new inline clear view fuel filter so I can monitor the fuel if it happens again. Thank for all the help. Let me know if you any more thoughts

I'd get a wideband A/F gauge so you'll know what the carb is doing and if it is being starved for fuel.
