how many km's should i be getting in an 87 305 sbc to a full tank?, i think the best i've gotten so far is like 250... not exactly what i was looking for, i've had the car on the road for about a week now and i've been a lil hard on it, but the past few days ive been easier on it and still burned through a 1/4 tank driving like 50 kms outside of town...

im not sure, it seems to bog alot when i put it to the floor and it takes a good 5-10 seconds for it to kick down and rev up, but im not sure... like i said.

That is pretty much horrible 😱

Does it run fine :?: Smell funny :?: Smoke :?:

runs perfectly fine, lots of power until i push to the floor, dosnt stink like it used to, and no smoke, well a little bit of white smoke when it's cold, it goes away once it's warm.

My daughter had an 82' Riviera with a 307. No matter what I did the mileage sucked.

with the rear gear being 2.29 it gas mileage will suck in city driving but on the highway it should be better. If Bonnewagon says a 307 is bad on gas then you can take his word for it

Sounds like the timing is <strike>hella</strike> overly advanced and when you step on it it advances to far ahead. Check your timing. Had that problem on a '78 Coupe Deville once. Someone had the distr. out and put it back in wrong.

a quadrajet with no electric choke, not sire on the numbers, bought it off of a guy who had it on a 383 but it was too small for his motor.
