Fuel Mileage F150 vs Rav 4

I have a friend who claims the same. His '15 F150 gets better highway mileage than his '13 Sportage ever did. City is a push but highway it apparently shines.

your friend must be a strong man to push the F150 around the city...😀

he is actually. But I still tease him stating the tailgate is heated so his hands don't get cold when pushing it home. 🙂

As well they should have sold every one with a puppy so you never have to walk home alone.

Only vehicle that ever left me badly stranded ( multiple times I must add ) was a fjord so I have no love 🙁

New trucks finally get somewhere near their advertised mpg rating. A lot people say they get mid high 20's hwy imperial with newer trucks, a vast improvement. I can tell you, I cannot match the mpg the Olds 260 got in my 70S with the 9 to 1 350 with a 214/214 cam. I got 19 mpg imperial with OD and I leaned out the Qjet two turns in on the APT, lean miss up top. The 260 maybe had a bit more timing but had a non lock up TH350, so ran 750+ more rpm than the 350. I got 21 mpg imperial out of it. If my 88 CSC doesn't sell, it will get a junk yard 2004R behind the 260. Should easily get 25 hwy and with 3.42 gears and duals, it can get out of it's own way. It will be my highway cruiser of choice.

My 2003 Dodge Dakota get 20-22 mpg for highway and 16-17 city which is good for a v6 and quad cab truck.

The f150's are suprisingly good on gas my wife has a 2014 5.0 were in the country but every day she drives to Toronto and her average to a tank is 850km but 140 to fill my 06 Cummins gets 450km to a tank maybe 470km at a hundred bucks mind you it's on 37"s and bigger injectors but still.. my sister's 2016 Odyssey gets 650km

With my GP I can get anywhere from 25 mpg to 15 mpg on the highway depending on how controllable my right foot is.....🙂

The new Ford trucks are very nice and I'd consider buying one. I think GM's recent price cut on 1500's reflect the loss of sales to Ford. F150's have the lighter aluminum body and I like the Ecoboost set up.
