Well crap! You have me scared. I drive a 2003 Taurus also for a beater.

Mine only has about 67,000 miles on it but since it gets driven on Michigan roads that is equivalent to the wear and tear of 200,000 miles for other states.

I was recently back up outside detroit over the thanksgiving weekend for mom's funeral, and after had forgotten just how bad the roads are up there (left for the militry in '85, and last time I was up there was about 7 yearsago).... had a rental chrysler 300 awd and still rode like a buckboard.....

Happened this morning. I didn't even make it ten feet. Had to keep going through to get away from the garage door where the truck was parked. 2003 Mercury Sable. Don't that such some sh##t!

Well we both got lucky this didn't happen at speed, I replaced both my front struts with loaded struts for fear that the passenger side might do the same thing.
