you may be embarassed for him but I've done several hundred of these. the aftermarket multi-adaptable wipers are a PITA. WhyTF can't all car manufacturers standardize on a wiper blade mounting system?

Almost all of them are j-hooks. I think I've encountered maybe half a dozen pin type wiper arms in the past 10 years. You don't have to be an engineer to figure it out.

and those are just the fronts....
even the J-hooks have variations on the blade itself on how they mount with a universal adapter. some slide right in, some push thru the blade itself. and every blade manufacturer has to be clever in their design. Trico, Bosch, Rain-X. I've had to use needle-nose pliers to rip out the cheap plastic mounts from wornout blades that the customer put on because they were sold junk the last time around at a different store.
