uhhhhhh, LS gen IV AFM failed, got lucky limping home, almost got stranded. if the camshaft had wiped a lobe, then it would have been a teardown and rebuilt.
Not the later PI heads, especially with nickel plated plugs and a torque wench. However, LS7s do drop intake valves due GM outsourcing those heads. GM never really resolved that issue either.
