I did paint my rusty steelies on mine. Don't think that counts as a mod. But it's probably the slowest vehicle I've ever owned. If it were better on fuel I wouldn't mind as much.

In High School I rebuilt our tractor, not sure if that was "modding", but it pulled its front end off the ground, chirped the tires and was faster than a Cobalt.

Idk my cobalt ss is putting up 290 hp and is knocking down 30 mpg all day and gets squrrely without the trac control and is a blast to rip around town. Don't mod base models lol. The chevy cobalt ss turbo is a modern day sleeper you could get embarrassed by one

Same can be said for the Caliber SRT4. Ugly as hell but certainly took me by surprise. I dare you to stab the throttle in 2nd gear and keep the car in your own lane.
