I thought they purchased the old Buick 215 aluminum engine for the Rover. That made a lot of sense at the time as it was super light weight and durable. But use only 6 cylinders?!?

Ford truck is my guess as well... they started using "high grade" aluminum construction for their beds, wrong thing to do by the looks of it.
