guys, HNY.... On my 78 Monte build, assuming I'll replace/ update all the wiring and harnesses, why wouldn't I want to locate the fuse box into the trunk or under the drivers seat vs original under dash on firewall? Just seems easier access for any later things that need attention or blown fuses, etc as the build comes together. Thoughts, ideas or recommendations for me on this topic?

the trunk would be good but kinda challenging for the gauges/ect big bundle of wire coming through the interior kinda hard to hide. Under the seat my only concern would be water from shoes and things ect also a fire that could be quite a mexican night out quicker then you think. why dont you try to put in on the passenger side?

I hear you... No problem with the passenger side. I thought the amount of wire from gauges might be too long to the trunk. Just want to keep this easily accessible. For people who use the passenger side, what kind of protection from shoes hitting it- or is it an instruction to any passenger every time they're in the car? Thx

It is a pita to change a fuse but I have only had to change a fuse once or twice this year, I mean last year...

I like the fuseblock under the hood like the newer cars.

Glove box !
