I like the idea. I think it should stay.

Here's my idea: Have every member submit a pic of their G-Body. Make it a monthly spotlight on a members car and rotate through until the pic list is exhausted. This way we all get to see each others cars, no voting, no hassle. Put some rules down if you need to, like the car must be drivable, or whatever.

I would love to see everyone's ride at some point. This would be a way to showcase everyone's car (or cars).

Here's an idea that might get all parties involved. Seasonal Challenge Themes! Not every month of the year is special, but say for months with big holidays in them you could challenge members to submit a picture that best captures the theme, and we can vote on that like usual. For instance, Halloween just happened. So next October we say "submit your best G-body Halloween pics!" This way it's less build-quality-centric and it promotes people to go out and get new pics instead of just posting up what they already have. A guy with a "cooler" car could get beat by a guy that just did the theme better, so it levels the playing field. And you can rule out photo editing so it's not dominated by photoshop wizards. We don't all have the same cash and skills as the next guy, but what we do all have is G-bodies and ideas!

Greetings Guys; As a past winner I may be bias but I enjoy it as is. And if the monthly winner picks a category or theme for the next month all the better. I was so pleased that my fellow members picked me I told every car nut friend I have to take a look. Keep on keepin' on, Ole' Bob.

I also vote to continue the tradition. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I do like varying the monthly theme.

So we know the basics as there are holidays in almost every month: Christmas, Valentines, Easter, etc.

But what about July? I mean we are talking about Canada Day vs 'Murica Day here. Do we go head to head? Alternate years? Do co-winners? We don't want to start a war... or do we?

Go Team Canuckistan!

Definitely keep it going. I have entered my car on a couple of gbotm and haven’t won any of them. A thing that could be done I suppose to be more “inclusive” is just keep up the variety of entry types. This allows for veteran and novice gbody enthusiast to have an opportunity to win.

I would say that a reasonable amount of effort should be expected for those entering. Granted that can be hard to judge sometimes. But I’m mainly getting at picture quality. Like someone’s mentioned gbotm is like a show case. Just about everyone has access to smart phones these days with decent enough quality camera and with a little effort anyone can take a worthwhile photo.

When it comes to the cars themselves. In my opinion what really is important in gbotm is not so much the state of the vehicle but the owners putting in the effort of making the car something of interest. To me someone dragging a rusty beat up gbody out of the woods and successfully getting it back on the road with just junkyard parts is just interesting as seeing a well maintained one, or a show car with a bunch of go fast parts. It’s the challenges overcome, not the final product.
