G-Body Seat Questions

I don't know what I want to do at this point.
All I know is that my motor and transmission are costing a lot more than I was planning so there isn't much money left for the interior.
The bench i have now is vinyl and cracked badly on the seat of the drivers bench.
One thing I know is that I have a B&M Megashifter to go on the floor so I don't want a console. Bucket seats without a console look to me like something is missing. This is why I was asking about the 60/40 split bench. Sort of best of both worlds plus likely easier to find with people swapping them out for buckets.

I'm a hair under 300lbs and my motor will have between 400 and 450hp and the same for torque.
Maybe I should be looking for whatever is strongest. 😀

im about the same i would go with whatever you like its your car and i have never seen a bench fail or any seat for that matter i kinda like the bench idea you got my gears turning lol wonder if a s10 bench would fit

I would assume the fronts would be simple but the back seats would be more difficult to fit properly.

When I converted my Monte over to buckets I just set everything thing in the car and traced it with a sharpie, welding the mounts to the floor and enjoyed the car. I went to the yard and cut a floor out of a Monte with bucket seat mounts. If you like the bench I would just get your own seat redone by a local interior shop. Seems to me that would be the best as the bench's that are forsale seem to be pretty beat. I have my old bench but it's not in to good of shape.
If youre looking for a bench seat to bolt right in, I dont think thats going to happen, unless its from another g body. You could get any bench thats not too long, but you will have to make some seat tracks.
