Gas Powered Blower Ban

I'd say time to push back... close the hair and nail salons due to vapor emissions and get rid of the Starbucks.

Then see the idiots cry into their avocado toast we slap a tax on due to excessive water consumption in irrigation.

I love it! That literally made me LOL

Personally, I think all 2 strokes should be banned. Flame away😘. Seriously, the carbs always seem to plug and a lot of them blow up, no doubt due to not enough oil. I assume the new EFI ones with oil injection aren't nearly as awful. Are there any new small motors made with carburetors anymore?

Be that as it may, the environmental impact of banning them is less than nil.

I'll consider a trade.... we ban new 2 strokes, and we ban those pesky toyotas with em?

So are they going to ban gas leaf blowers. What about 2 stroke chain saws? Weed whackers?

Are the police going to fine you? Just stop selling them in a specific county?

The powers that be can talk and feel about how they are making a difference when in reality it does diddly squat.

I have a 4 stroke weed whacker and I like it a lot more than 2 choke stuff. Just dribble in a little oil every now and then into the reservoir.

Anybody who truly wants to ban the 2 strokes, and is a member here with a G body, one could say this is pretty hypocritical. Our old cars are not the most ecofriendly in the universe, and how can we pick and chose what stays and what goes, what's banned and what's permitted, and anyone wanting to call these shots, passing these laws, should be living off solar power and driving electric cars, because if not, your voice has become irrelevant to the masses, trying to execute more laws and provisions all the while living with a huge carbon footprint yourself.

I remember as a kid riding in my parents car while going up a long grade on a thruway and passing tractor trailers going 35/45 MPH in the slow lane pouring out black sooty diesel smoke. I'm actually glad those days are over, the technologies intergraded into the emission control systems using computer and other emissions technologies of today, not only provide maximum power with less fuel consumption but emit half the emission too. So I'm truly into using technology to get to point B, instead of just banning things, the easy way out.

I think it's more to do with noise. They're just icing the cake with pollution to get more signatures on the petition.
Montgomery County, MD borders DC, and is our own little slice of California style lunacy. Unfortunately, most of them end up moving north to my neck of the woods, bringing that crap with them. Next thing you know, speed limits lower, speed bumps get installed, drag strips close, and senseless new ordinances are passed.

oops
