I noticed you siad an electronic Speedo and a Trand Temp gauge, neither of which were ever offered in a G-Body.

You will want to follow the directions that came with the gauges. As for ground, I ran a set of Autometer Oil Pres and Water Temp gauges in my 84 GP. For those, I ran a ground wire for each gauge right next to the sending unit. I did this to ensure I had as good of ground as possible.

Take a look at Ron Francis Wire Works. They offer some kits for wiring aftermarket Gage Panels.

I REALLY like the American Autowire gauge wiring kit. PN 500505 I sell em at my store for $60

I use them on most of the cars we work on here at my shop

Its really good if you ever need to remove the gauges for any reason it makes it really easy all of the wires have writing on them

Depending on whether your speedo uses a sine wave or square wave signal, you could possibly use the VSS from a 1992 Camaro with a T-5. It is in the tailshaft of the trans and may be the same size. Plus, it runs off the output shaft gear and, on the T-5 at least, is a direct replacement for the stock mechanical part. I only know this because I used a 1992 trans in a 1984 Camaro and had to swap it out the other way around.

its a sqaure wave signal, i already have the sender unit that connects right to the output shaft? on the transmission were the speedo cable wouldave been, and you just wire the signal wire to the speedo gauge and the 12vlt source and your ground. i wouldave jst gone with the mechanical speedo but being in alberta its kph and the only autometer ultra lite gauge was electronic.

For a wiring idea, I would twist the wires of the sender together for the length of them to keep them neat. The I would make a harness out of the whole set and use a bulkhead connector to pass it through the firewall.
