gauge swap

hi all

im sure this has been discussed but i couldnt find the post's about it so i am asking again. this is my dilema i have a 86 elcamino and i found a good set of gauges from a 84 monte my el had idot lights is there anything i need to do before i put these gauges in. the engine harness i know i have to change a couple pig tails but im not sure about the wiring under the dash.

I am trying to do the same thing. I found the wires that needto be switched on www.maliburacing.com, but i am still having trouble figuring the number of the pin connections myself. Takea lookand let me know how you make out.
