Ok, this a several part yell for help question. I have a 79' wagon I want to put some gauges in. Specifically oil pressure, water temp, and volts. First question, where do I mount them? I bout a triple pod from g-bodypars.com and although the customer service was superb during the ordering process, the pod itself sucks. Fit and finish is terrible to say the least. So is there another place to get a even close to fitting pod, or should I get creative and attach the pods off if the shitty pillar to the stock pillar? Or where you guys mount gauges? Second question, in a fan of elec gauges on street cars so where do I hook up to get readings? Previous owner crudely hooked up some cheap mechanicals. Should I use the same spots he went to for my sensors? See pics. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

A few of us have bought those full pillar pods with the same results ( flimsy and missing the outer edge) and I was told by Gbodyparts that everybody sells the same ones so it does not really matter who you by it from you end up with the same part so I sent mine back.
I ended up mounting a dual pod to my factory pillar and got a pretty good fit others have done the same with 2 and 3 pods and then molded it in which is a very time consuming process.
As far as gauge sender's I would mount the oil pressure where the mechanical one is mounted in the back of the intake and I like mounting the coolant temp. in the intake to get it out of the head and away from the header heat.

Gotta tell ya... That's a pretty nice int ya got there... And do you mean in the thermostat housing for the coolant temp sender?

My stock round-gauge 83 wagon had the temperature sender in the passenger cylinder head, between #2 and #4 exhaust ports (where your appears to be). If you are using an aftermarket intake, there is often a bung in the crossover passage next to the water neck. The oil pressure sender mounted in a hole on the block on the driver's side of the distributor (where yours appears to be) but you can also use the bunged fitting in the side of the block just above the oil filter mount. I think voltage could be tapped in anywhere. I used a metal 2-gauge plate for trans temp and manifold vacuum and mounted it under the dash where the ash tray used to be. I only smoked Mustangs and Camaros, only on Friday nights at Barbers Point, and I only exhaled.

I like the vent fitting in the thermostat housing - great idea for bleeding air out of the cooling system - but a nice high-temperature Neti pot if you're tempted to open it at temperature...

Thanks for compliment on my interior but it gets better when you look under the hood. 😀 As for the coolant temp you could use the thermostat housing but since it looks like you have a Performer intake I am thinking there is a spot that is currently plugged that would be under your radiator hose the opposite side of where your heater hose is.
The voltage gauge you want wired on the positive side of the ignition so it is not hot all the time. My voltage gauge I have wired directly to an add on ignition side 12 circuit fuse panel so it has it's own fuse.

I guess I'm gonna try a triple pod of the generic type...lol. I took down my a pillar today to try and test fit the gbparts one and saw how flaky and nasty it is. Used some PLASTI-dip (black, only color I had) and I turned out well. Don't know if it's a good idea, but it looked good. Maybe I'll just try n do the whole int... Hhhmmm...
