Years ago, there was a member on here that made a very in-depth chart on weight reduction. I’ll try and find it again.

EDIT--------------------------------------------------------------------------

I found it on another forum. Save it to your computer because the original spreadsheet is broken. The gbodyforum thread was from 10 years ago.

Yea it's in the back ,which adds weight when you replace the the 3ft cable with a 15ft one lol
Yes, but that weight is removed straight off the front wheels and onto the rear wheels. The result is better weight distribution, and less understeer, which equals better traction. The benefit can be reaped from drag racers, and road racers. If you're even thinking of reducing weight in your car for racing purposes, this is a no brainer modification. Now use a smaller group size battery and double up on that benefit.

My GBody weight reducing efforts in the past have included : aluminum bumper reinforcement ( front & rear ), aluminum bumper brackets ( front & rear ), aluminum core support, aluminum radiator, aluminum hood, manual steering box, manual brakes, aluminum steering shaft, aluminum intake, aluminum accessory brackets, plastic air cleaner, tubular headers, minimal exhaust system, aluminum driveshaft, aluminum rear drums, radio & speaker delete, a/c & heat delete, spare tire & jack delete, lexan windows, aluminum shifter, aluminum wheels, lightweight tires, Iceman crossmember, drag race seats, aluminum steering wheel, gutted doors, sunvisors removed, headliner removed, back seat removed. If your car is strictly for racing purposes... remove both side mirrors, the rear view mirror, and look into fiberglass bumpers, hood, trunk, and fenders.

Yea for sure that's why it's back there ,move weight towards the back ,I left the stock bumper alone along with a 80lb lead brick bolted to the steel inner bumper made no difference at the track even on the time slip but made the difference on other the surfaces I'm on that are unprepped
