My entry for July '13 GBOTM.
The car was bought by my dad new in 86 and it is still in his name. I drove the car in high school and college. Here is the Thread introducing the car: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=42984#.UUP-SFdCaHg

Short facts about the car:
398,*** Miles
2nd engine (Crate GM 350)
No acccidents
Stolen and recovered once in 2010.
Repainted in Jan 2013 with Silver Ice Metallic (5th Gen Camaro Silver)

Our 78 El Camino SS, With GM Performance parts # 19210008 - GM 350HO, Upgraded to full roller, 700R4, 3:24 Richmond Gears on a Eaton limited slip carrier. Dual exhaust with FM super 50's. AC, Power windows, Power locks with keyless entry. Cadillac automatic headlights.
Nordskog Digital gauge panel, Cadillac auto dimming rear view mirror. Full leather interior.1987 Monte Carlo sport mirrors, Steel 2 inch Good Mark cowl hood with functional air cleaner. Gm Serp drive conversion kit.
We have enjoyed this car for 30 years. :mrgreen:
 
Here is my '88 Monte SS done in Dark Green Polo Met. Engine and drivetrain is pretty much stock (for now). Car is lowered 2" front and back, 18" Chrome IROC's, S.S. Brake Lines, F-body front Sway bar, Jeep steering shaft, custom rear frame bar, core to firewall support braces, tint and A-pillar gauges round out the major mods.
