Hey guys,
This month will be left open for anyone who wishes to put their gbody in the running. No restrictions or requirements, just how it used to be. SafariWagon wanted to leave this month open and I think it's perfect since the last few topics have left us with few entries.

Get out there and snap some pics of your beauty.
Post some information about your gbody. What have you done/plan to do?

There are only 35 slots in the pole so only the first 35 cars will make it into the running!

Thanks-Mike

what the hell, not much done yet but my baby :D . its an 86 regal blacked out with 75,000 orig kms..very clean and straight..it has a 4brl 305 and 200m transmission, not too exciting yet but i have a nice 383/700r4 waiting to be dropped in..cant wait. as for the rest of the running gear it has the f41 package and the rear is a 2.29 posi..there again not too exciting but better gears on the list.
what has been done so far is a few wheel changes and adjustable qa1 setups front and rear..nice improvement but i would like the rear to drop a bit more, also a new steering wheel and replaced the heatercore
i just like the stance on this pic at the shop

whats next will be the motor/transmission, gears and interior stuff..mostly want to instal my b&m shifter and consul/colum, will either notch the 60/40 bench or locate some buckets..almost a shame to mess with the minty but plain jane interieor

thanx for looking

Why not? Here is my gbody. I got it when I was 15, and since then has been my daily. 19,000 miles on the motor and trans and no problems! Anyways it features a mild 383 and 700R4 that we did a custom cross member for. Also have done custom fiberglass speaker pods, and made a stainless steel vacuum canister as well as other small custom touches. Future plans so far are a 750 CFM carb, bodywork, paint, lower and inch in the front, and maybe some '85 trans am 16" wheels. Also a bigger and better stereo, a pillar gauges, cut my exhaust to dump behind the wheels, install my sunroof gasket, new poly motor mounts, and poly front end parts. I love the car and all of it has been done on a low budget. Enjoy! Also check the build log link in my signature. I would take more up to date pictures to post on this thread but it is currently raining.

Also the video is more current although not much has changed on the outside

I guess it's worth a shot :) Here's my '85 Cutlass Salon, it's my first car and pretty much all original. She's not perfect by any means but she's a pretty reliable daily driver with around 112,000 miles on her now. My plans include a frame off restoration with a Rocket 455 and a 2004-r with either a 8.5 or 12 bolt out back with 3.73s and posi. Aftermarket tubular suspension most likely from UMI and 15" chrome SSIII wheels with about a 3" drop up front and 1-2" in the back. For paint and body I plan on gloss black as well as deleting the rocker, wheel well, and hood trim and adding a functional Hurst/Olds hood scoop. The interior I want to keep as stock looking as possible with the exception of an afermarket shifter (the lightning rods they've got in development have my interest). Overall I want the car to be a nasty street rod that performs like a muscle car, handles like a newer car and still looks close to stock. All that's holding me back now is time and mostly money. The pics are a little older but there hasn't been much change.

Here is my 1979 Hurst/Olds. I have owned it for about 10 years now. I bout it and it had a 330 in it and the interior was trashed. I redid the entire interior top to bottom(i do have the seat side chrome not shown in picture).

I rebuilt an engine. The engine started life as an Oldsmobile diesel. I put a custom ground 425 BBO crank, BBC rods, and 400 SBC pistons. It now cubes out at 434. Its got edelbrock heads and I even installed FAST EZ-EFI. The car is alot of fun and have had fun modifying it. Check out my build thread for more photos and details. viewtopic.php?f=10&t=32796

Well, my car is finally 100% back together again, I actually fit the July requirements, and ironically that's the month I was born. Might as well enter!
My car is a 1987 Buick Regal T package. I've had it since 2008. It was my first car and was my year-round daily driver until fall 2011. I painted it in 2012.
Originally a California car, it was bone stock, dried out, and extremely dirty.

Right now it has an Oldsmobile 307c.i. engine, a 200-4R w/TransGo shift re-programmer and a trans cooler, Holley 600 w/vac. dist., 28 spline 7 5/8" LSD (3.73:1), girdle cover, manifold-back 3 inch oval side pipe w/ dump, black headliner, lighter weight black carpet, tachometer, custom ashtray switch for my blue under-seat interior lights (they light up the floor pretty well), custom inlays for the center console, A/C delete, Viking double adjustable rear shocks, Hotchkis 2" drop rear springs (currently on 1 1/2" spacers (Thanks Tony_SS)), UMI upper and lower rear control arms w/roto-joints, front and rear UMI sway bars, and modified bumper cores (-61 pounds total, excluding bumperettes).

Future plans include parts that still need to go in. I have Viking coil-overs for the front and a '76 Buick "355" which I'd like to use an electric fan with. I'd also like to maybe go fuel injected one day. Other pipe dreams include dual exhaust for the "355" with headers, remotely (cable?) operated dumps, and "quiet" mufflers for long trips, a T5 WC manual trans (already have the pedals), HIDs on the brights only, maybe some new front control arms, and "front and rear aerodynamics."

ill enter this month. not pretty yet but im workin on that. my 87 ss I bought 7 years ago for $500 no motor no trans no interior no ss specifics on front. entire front clip minus ss stuff and the doors were in a pile beside the car. i put the front together and found a Pontiac motor and trans for $100 so i used that. of course i had to build it but couldn't pass up the deal. he is some progress after many hours and a lot of money. here is some pics and a video at the track
