gen 3 vortec intake

hey every one i got a question for all of my g body owners out there that has complete a gen3 vortec swap in their g body.I have a 1980 monte carlo i have plans on putting in a 4.8 lr4 vortec engine.what my concern is.will the intake clear the hood.

if it dose not use an ls in take of a camaro or a jto or trans am they should fit some modfing of wireing harnes

Yes but you will have to remove the bracing under hood..

ok so if i were to take out the bracing under the hood would the hood be able to close shut and would this make my hood weaker

I guess in the grand scheme... But removing 8" of bracing isnt going to really do anything.

do they make any custom motor mounts that can lower the engine down a little.

anybody out there having any experience can perhasp give me some insight,on what motor mounts are good for vortec gen3 swap that would allow my hood to clear with out taking the bracing off.anybody

The monte carlo has a longer hood, you may be fine.
