I know, I am a tiny minority who loves cars, doesn't care for truck's and HATES crossover's. When anything major goes on my Dakota, I want it gone and another AWD Challenger to replace it. The new Lund fishing boats are light enough to pull with a Challenger, it may be a combo payment in the future.

"Yeah let's take a made-in-Korea, inbred, Daewoo-wannabe subcompact sedan, put a hatch on the rear, slap a Chevy badge on it and sell it as an American SUV. Then people will want to buy them!"

Billy Durant is probably turning in his grave.[/QUOTE]
GM and others soon forget the last crisis when everyone stopped buying the SUV's an truck's they heavily invested in. I Kno let's repeat our mistakes one more time.

I cannot help but wonder how much the NAFTA bs played into this as well ? I know our sign manufacturing costs ( raw materials ) have gone up appx 30% in the last year due to the tariffs imposed. It's a Sad Day indeed for those in the 'shwa!

Olds 307, I live 2x stones throws from the Brampton Plant and know a few who work there. They are very proud about the job they do ! My understanding is it's a Flex plant meaning they can roll off a 300 then a Challenger, then a Charger, a Hellcat then a Police Package car one after the other without switching it up.
Very cool way to build cars. We love the styling and room, just perfect for our needs and doesn't look like malformed *ss.

Sitting here with the TV on I just noticed something (for Chevy & Ford at least), seems like another reason why no one are buying cars is they don't advertise them. Do put them out there, no one will see them. I'll admit I NEVER have seen a ad for the Volt or Bolt, can't remember when I seen a car add (to include the Camaro or Vette), only seeing any form of car advertising is with those goofy "real owners" ads that are for tech B.S. that is a generic feature across the line. In most of those ads show more "city" trucks anyways. No since I said Ford, I've only seen the Mustang in a truck/SUV line commercial which it is only there as split second. At least Dodges commercials shows them beating the snot out of the performance models. Hell I've seen more Demon & Bill Goldburg Santa commercials than any Chevy or Ford cars ones. Another reason they can't sell cars at the plants GM wants to close is (in my useless opinion) they didn't want to sell those cars. For those old enough to remember when the Corvair was around, the best way to ensure the end of the line was not to advertise or do any promotion with it.:rant::rant:

I'm not a Mopar guy at all, but I've always thought Chrysler's marketing was leaps and bounds ahead of GM and Ford's. From the "That got a hemi?" commericals, to even their current ads for Jeep Wranglers and Challengers.

Meanwhile Chevy has that queer bragging to paid focus groups about their JD Power awards and that their cars have wifi... The "Real People not Actors" commericals make me want to scream and tear my hair out everytime they come on.

BC they're not in the business of selling cars anymore, their business is selling financing. The car is just a vehicle (NPI) for that. "I need a ride to work and I can only spend $N a month" *$$$$$ eyes appear* "I think we can do that." (laughs maniacally internally as they write up a 8 year loan)

Also kudos for keeping this more or less politics free so far.
