If you're serious at all about racing it, now would be a good time to install a driveshaft safety loop.

Here's a pic of the loop in my 87 monte SS...(rear isnt swapped in yet)

That's a good price for that rear end. They go for $1200 to $1500 in my area. I lucked out and got mine for 600 with 3:73's in it and por-15 treated.

Is that an aluminum driveshaft? Is it custom made or did you find one out of a donor vehicle?

Donor SS. I picked it up for $30 shipped a few years back. Saw it on ebay...
