I have a question for anyone out there who has done a similar swap I have a 78 el camino I put a lt1 in it and now I'm doing the fuel system I bought the efi el camino tank and and sending unit my question is it has 3 lines the feed return and vent and the original tank for the lt1 had 4 lines feed return vent and I think a purge line just wondering how to run all my fuel lines with the new sending unit

I don't think the gn sending unit will work due to the different size and shape of the fuel tank. If you can make it work that'll be great.

When I did the swap on my malibu. I used a corvette filter/regulator to the 3/8 hard line then from the 3/8 from the sender to the filter the middle sender line also to went my filter which also has a return and the 5/16 outside line to the charcoal canister.

On the middle sender line you can cut the step down neck back to when it gets to 5/16.

Sorry not the gn sending unit I guess it would be the one for the elcoe tank from the tbi it has a aeromotive fuel pump on it

I guess what I'm asking is will I bee fine with just running that 3rd line to the charcoal canister. Will that be enough vent for that tank, since the original lt1 tank had a 4th line that just ran to a vent valve off to the side of the tank

Yes I am running all the emissions I think I'm just going to run the vent to charcoal canister do you know what type of fittings are used at the sending unit for the feed and return it doesn't look like the later gm push style

You think I will be fine with efi hose clamps over steel braided 6an line maybe if I cut back some of the steel braid sleeve and put the clamps directly over the rubber hose and use 6an to gm push on fittings up at the fuel rail

See how it has that brass fitting I'm trying to figure out what fitting to use to attach it to 6an fittings
