A guy I know has a 79 Turbo Regal he's parting out. The drivetrain and hood are gone but going to see what is there. I do plan a 78-79 Regal build at some point in my future. I'll be getting anything that's in nice condition (lens', bezels, etc. I'm hoping the 3 Hobbs style switches are on the drivers side inner fender. I'd REALLY love it if it has the passengers side kick panel that's a removable trash can. If you have one of these, let me know. Also power seat. He said it's really rusty and has no title. My first car was a 79 Regal Limited, dark brown with tan 1/2 vinyl top, and chrome 14" Buick ralleys. And how can I forget the tan crushed velour pillow back seats??? Lol. Wanting to build one just like it except maybe two tone paint instead of vinyl top. That would depend on whether the body I find is a slick roof or vinyl top already. I'd probably use my 88 SS Monte parts cars 305 HO engine. I know they are referred to as the ugly step sister but I dig em

I drove an hour over there and it was not a turbo car. Just a base model 2 door Regal. Very rusty and no good panels left. All interior was sun rotted. You never know till you look though. Laying in the front seat was a pair of aluminum brake drums. I got them for $20. Going to save them for my turbo Century project. He said he was going to some salvage out of state this week that has a lot of G bodys but he wouldn't tell me where. Told him I needed a Regal console. Hope it pans out

a friend of mine that I've known since h.s. still has his 78 regal sport coupe. carmine red, red interior. set up for a chevy motor. turbo hood. for the last few years, he's been talking about selling it. it would be a roller. he wants to keep the 402 bb that is in it. i don't remember how good the frame is, but i think the body is still rust free. maybe one dent in quarter panel. happened while in storage the last 35 years. i'll contact you if there is any movement on it.

if he doesn't know what a turbo is how would he know what a G body is....
The mix up was me. He said the turbo hood was already gone so I thought it was a turbo car. He has two Malibu wagons and an 85 Cutlass getting paint. The kid he bought it from took the hood off before he got back to pick it up. He is supposed to contact him about the turbo hood for me

I would have thought it was a turbo too if he said the turbo hood was gone and left out the part that the car wasn't a turbo. I hope it works out that you get the turbo hood.
