Got a question...

ok. ill have to shop around or make my cousin weld it up for me. i sadly to say have no welding experience yet. but putting my schooling and life in the garage learning for myself by taking care of my niece and now a expecting father, it will be some time before i can master all areas of automotive craftsmanship.

another question i have is one i have been laughed at about before. as i wrote before, i have the cutlass brougham 4 door with th 305/th350 combo. is there anyone who has ever put the console shifter from the 442s in a 4 door? its been one of those mods i wanted to set myself from just the regular granny getter 4 doors. which is the family man souping up the family vehicle so the mascilinity stays there when the family cruises to the swap meets and car shows hahaha

I'm 17 from Ontario, Canada and im looking to buy my first Olds. It's a 1984 Cutlass Supreme 2 door with a 307 V8, auto. My question is it a good car to buy? .

boy is THAT a loaded question! 😛

you have to remember, at this forum, we tend to be a little biased in our opinion of these cars...

IF YOU DON'T BUY THAT CAR, I WILL PERSONALLY COME UP THERE AND GIVE YOU A SWIFT KCIK IN THE *ss!!!!

 , but agree wholeheartedly.....then again, no, DON'T buy it, I'll take the chance of it being a bad purchase!!!!

Oh man you're so lucky dude, if that car is still for sale! Lol especially after posting the link on this forum! I'm close to that guy and if I had the SPACE it'd be mine. I'd swipe that up in a heartbeat.

i agree with him. if you didnt buy it i wouldve drove up there and got it. in my eyes, it wouldve been perfect. i like a car you have to put your blood sweat and tears in. i make my cars look nice. i dont buy nice cars.

lol thanks for all the info guys, i think im going to go ahead and buy it if someone else hasn't already hahaha.

Bet it's already sold. It took me years and years to find a 81 - 87 Grand Prix -- all I wanted was factory T-roof, and vinyl soft top, in decent shape. I found a few but when I called them, car was already sold. When I did find the car I wanted, I kinda got ripped off, paid $4600, but he had me by the balls, and I didn't really mind because it was worht it for me.

You're young and if you get this car it'll be your best purchase ever. Years from now you will have other cars and maybe even a house, years in your future, and looking back, this will be the car that stuck in your blood. Just sayin' lol. Most guys here are like that.

Man, everybody sure started hyping up this car quick without knowing the extent of the "underbody rust" stated in the ad...

Regardless, as long as the frame isn't toast, it looks like a good buy.

You're right Blake442. I'm sorry, got carried away. Lost site of the fact this guy is just asking for honest advice about what to do from more experienced guys. The_Schmeed be sure to at the very least, do what Blake442 said, check for underbody and frame rust/rot. It's the main drawback that would pose a potential problem.
