I would stick with the 10w 40. 20w 50 is thick for that. It'll take a bit long to get in the bearings during warm up.

I'm surprised o'Reillys didn't have that stuff in their system. I've gone to Napa, AZ or advance and normally have basic maintenance stuff.

Looks to have a dealer added vinyl top by the looks of the aluminum roof band and hard top quarter windows, not to mention the rear window trim.
I have one of those roof bands lying around and couldn't figure out if it was factory or not for years.

Yeah, I was starting to wonder the same thing after looking at it closer. A few things didn't quite make sense. Eh, when I paint it someday, it might just come off then. At least it shouldn't be (as much of) a hassle with the diff. windows and trim studs and junk.

Here's the trunk RPO code label. Anyone can tell me anything interesting? Looks like from the GM8 I have 2.56 gears, no posi unless the tag is gone. Feels like 2-series for sure. 😛 But with that and the overdrive she's barely working on the highway 😀

Nice find!! I just got one to similar to your find. Mine was a one owner deal that the guy had ordered in. It's a 87 as well with T-top, split bench, solid body & frame and Ralley gauge pack. Mine was garage kept then in a barn for the last 15yrs and was never driven in the winter months.

Very cool!

Nice car, these cars are going very cheap in mint shape, grab while you can. 3.42 gears would make that swirl port turd tolerable to drive and only rev around 2000 at 70 mph. My 88 CSC also has those marks on the control arms and still has the marshmallow ride, even after new Senstrac's, only slightly better.
