Grant steering wheels... your thoughts?

I sold a wheel like that with the wrap on it on eBay about 10 years ago.

I know they are common, but hey who knows!
Maybe Mark bought it from you. Stranger things have happened. I know he had parted out a 2nd generation Firebird at one time. I always thought the wheel came from that.
He lives in Queens.

you'll find that when looking for parts, some companies do not list the GP along with the other G bodies. Eibach springs do not list the GP for the springs that fit all the other G bodies. I called the company and they insisted the springs would not fit a GP....
That is like the oddity of things fits every G except Cutlass Supremes. The GM catalogs says things interchange but guess the venders don't believe that info. :blam:

Maybe im not understanding this right, but my friend's cutlass has had a hardwood grant wheel in it since the early 70's and other than having a polished look from oils from fingertips, it looks like its in amazing shape. Never seen a cracked/broken one.

Its possible you are talking about one with polyurethane simulated wood cover. I cant say about those.

No I've got one with the pretty solid wood wheel. I'll try and snag a picture. Now keep in mind the quality has probably gone down since your friends but this sucker split in several places. I got it at auto zone so not really the best

I really like my 14 inch black leather wrapped Grant steering wheel;

Although as 565bbchevy pointed out,with the Grant installation kit it sits out a bit too far.
I also have one of the 5 hole to 3 hole adapters to install soon to hopefully put the wheel back closer to the stock location.
