Just ordered an XT225 cable. Theoretically it should solve my problem. Tynan's dad should have pulled out. Tomorrow I've got to work, then it's back to cutting trees. I work a couple hours here and there, but lose interest quickly. Won't be long before it's all done though. Then I can lean into the fencing.

Put 3 more fruit trees in the ground yesterday.

This morning I took the Smell Camino on a run to the dump, then it got it's annual bath.

My longer XT225 clutch cable was delivered early so I installed it. Then I installed the 1/2" breather hose. TW engine vents from the top of the crankcase instead of the cam cover, so that hose wasn't interchangeable.

I took it for a 10 mile ride. Completely uneventful. It's definitely got more power and the extra gear knocks the RPMs down. I previously ran a 14/55 sprocket combo that gave a 3.93 final ratio. I put a 15 tooth on the front when I put this together for a 3.67 ratio. It still feels pretty low so I'll probably try a (stock) 50 tooth rear for a 3.33 final. Should stretch the top end out without suffering on the bottom end. Along with the extra CCs, this XT engine has a lower 1st gear and 6th is taller than the TW's 5th.

After all that, the Chief got a bath and I went for a short ride. Filthy Cutlass is justifiably jealous.

2 different plum varieties and a Ranier Cherry. Fruit orchard is up to 9 now. There's a sickly little peach tree that probably isn't gonna make it. I plan to add at least 2 more but nit sure what kind yet. Also getting ready for 2 or 3 rows of grapes.

I have a plum in the front yard. Really pretty tree when it flowers. Smells nice too. I tried to grow a sour cherry once, it only lasted a year or so. Probably more to do with my brown thumb than anything. I've got wild grapes everywhere. They aren't really edible. Wild raspberries too, those are edible, good too. Used to have wild strawberries but I think the rabbits did those in a while ago.

You actually aren't too far off. I live on the opposite side of the river from the Idaho wine region. There's about a dozen wineries within 10 miles of me. When they started pushing dirt and pouring concrete for my house, the local rumor was that another winery was going in.

This side of the river has a few dairies. There are thousands of acres of feed corn all around me. Now you have me thinking I might need to build a still.
