Greetings from Siberia

Wow, someone on here who actually might get colder in the winter. Apparently Siberia has hot Summers as well, we rarely see 35 here on the Canadian Prairies. Car looks in great shape, love the colour. What does it have for a motor?
 
It’s was born with 260 diesel, sold in California in 79 by dealer. That engine died and was swapped to 350 goodwrench diesel due to warranty. After this it comes to Moscow in the late 90’s and is here now. I have a Vortec for it), but it’s some fun to run with old Oldsmobile diesel. Never experienced before. It’s freshly bought and I need to solve more actual problems (such these https://gbodyforum.com/threads/79-cutlass-wipers-and-headlights-issues.78699/#post-792200) than swap to gas engine for it now. The car was lost in the village barn in 2002. And, thanks god, the barn was windy and dry).

Thanks for sharing the history on the car. This is an odd choice of vehicle to import for whoever imported it. Back in the 90s that would have been a $700-$1,000 car. It would have cost many times that to ship it from the states.
Also it was used for ~3 years after it was imported here. After this it was abandoned and I think due to diesel too)

Game Over, welcome to GBF, and thanks for showing us pictures of your Cutlass. Right now, to you, I am from yesterday. What is the time difference between you in Siberia, and me in Seattle, Wa.? Maybe about 17-18 hrs?

We've had members in Western Europe and the Near East (in our West-centric terms). More recently there have been one or two in South America. And most recently someone posted from Tahiti, of all places (reporting some trouble getting parts there). But SIBERIA?

When I saw this, my first thought was, it must be a hoax.

Do you have smog inspections there? Sorry, I'm in California, had to bring it up.
