I've never seen a car in the junkyard with a 350 or 403 Olds. None for sale either. Those engines are most likely gas hogs too. I'd rather have a Chevy engine anyway, but I don't want to do that either. More or less I don't want to modify the engine, I just thought with a rebuild I could try and find the H.O. parts to put in it. I can't find much of anything, so maybe if I ever get the engine rebuilt it will just go back the way it is. My VIN Y engine isn't slow at all, especially considering the fact that is has a bad valve guide or two, screwed up rings, and who knows what else (it has two anti-fowlers on it too). It feels like it has at least 140 horsepower still even though it leaves a big blue plume of smoke behind it half the time.
