Shamefully, the US has a history of demanding 110% from it's GI's, then ignoring them later. For most of us, it's OK, we survived and we'll get by. But for those vets who need a helping hand, why must they jump through endless hoops to get the help they require? With the elections almost upon us, do you see any candidate pledging to help our vets? As far as I know, Jim Webb is the only candidate that served, and even though he is a decorated Marine from my generation, he is being ignored while clowns like Trump get all the headlines. Sad, very sad. So if you want to help a vet, hire a vet. All he really wants is a job so he can get normal again. And if he works with you but seems moody or distant, he probably has good reason. So get off his case and cut him some slack. He deserves it.
