My Torins have slots and keys to lock the stands in position. They are different from my HF stands.

I'm bringing this back because I didn't even see this until today... I've been out of the loop a bit but I still dont want to get crushed by lousy jack stands. You know how they always asks for your phone number and if you get their coupons in the mail? Instead of sending me coupons, how about a recall notice? I bought this set back in November.

Had a set of the "A C Delco" branded 3 tons from OReilly at work. About a year ago I went to use them, and noticed that the roll pin that held the pawl to the lever was broken on one...wouldn't lock in up position. They warranteed them, but i now inspect closely every time I use a set.

Really scary is the old Sumco's I still have a couple of...I used those things for years when i was young until I bought a a set of Larin ratchet style. They only get used for light stuff these days, but had them under plenty of BB Chevelles in their day.

Not really sure if I totally trust any of them made now

Yeah I have a set of 70-80s vintage Craftsman stands and I trust those more than any newer ones I own but I still don't totally trust any jack stands. I went to school with a kid who's Dad got killed by a car that fell off jack stands.

Just wonder how many are built in the same plant with the same process and different stickers
