I'm glad I use home made ones now. Yeah, I blow my back out when I move them but I trust Dad's welding and 3/8 plate over those things.

I bet there are millions of those things, all made by the same mfg.

Thanks for the pics TURNA. Look what I have- the 6 tons are the old ones but the black 3 tons are from Sears. They are a ringer for the bad HF's. None of the release levers go as high as the bad HF's.

Just returned the 2 sets and got a 45 dollar gift card.

You can exchange them for the "NEW" red ones they sell.

But I rather the card for now.

I checked both of my sets and they're both Pro-Lift brands. (Just sticker differences, most likely?). The model numbers don't match so I'm not sure if I need to worry about them or not. They seem well engaged and it takes a good amount of lift to unlatch them.

I dunno. I'm going to wait a bit before using them again just to see if they're a problem child. I bought one set from Sears about 200 years ago, and the newer set back in 2010, so I don't THINK they're part of a problem, but I'll wait and see. I'll just use my Race Ramps in the meantime. I love those b*tches.

I am sure it is just about every overseas jackstand

The HF were the first to be found because they are the largest seller.

The torins are exactly the same as are autozone adavance auto ets..
My Torins have slots and keys to lock the stands in position. They are different from my HF stands.
