hardtop rear window filler question?

I have a 1987 grand prix getting ready to tear off the half vinyl top to get ready for paint and when i pulled back the trim over the trunk.lid it appears that the filler panel has a wide gap under the top trim was wondering if this is true of not .are they different on factory hardtops.

I believe u have to get the trim pieces from a hard top version of your car.

Paul, iinorder to do the conversion right you need the following parts from a hardtop car.

Trunk filler panel
Quarter window
rear window trim
And the window drip rails have been mentioned more than once. I have not fully investigated this, but appearently the window drip rail streches from the side windows to the end of the quarter windows. I can't remember who told me this, but it was on here somewhere.
