ok i removed my inner fenders on my car to clean up the engine bay for painting... has anyone fabricated alumium or stainless inner fenders and how would you go about doing it. or where could i get some cheap?

When you say inner fenders, do you mean the actual metal inner fenders that the outer sheet metal bolts to or are you talking about the plastic wheel wells?

I'm assuming your talking about replacing the plastic wheel wells with metal. I've seen it done using trailer fenders modified to fit then painted.

Personally I haven't done it but saw this pic somewhere online of someone who did. I also have seen another one where they don't stick out as far as the ones in the pic and they also did one to smooth the firewall and it looked really good but I don't have a pic of it.
