I am going to go with the 305 v8 its got 119k and the guy sent me pics he lost his license so he can't drive it any longer will post pics as soon as I get it home me and the misses are heading over there now!!

Wish me luck!!!
Sent to look at the v8 car young kids owned it and it was in OK shape the wing windows were broken, the ac equipment was gone. I never knew the back windows in the wagons did not roll down lol. The car use no passing gear but that's an easy fix. I am still suspect of the wagon with the misaligned doors. How hard is it to replace the wing windows? The 305 car had a really bad gas kept but all the panels lined up lol. Man decisions decisions.

Yeah, the back windows do not roll down, unfortunately. The vent windows rarely get used much. Therefore they tend to seize up. When someone tries to open them after being inactive for a long period, the shaft tends to break off where it connects to the frame. Ask me how I know.
Good vent windows are getting harder to find. They're not too difficult to replace. If I recall, the larger glass would have to be removed, then theres screws around the window frame that hold the vent window frame in place.
I'll try to post a picture of one removed to give you an idea.

As for the car with the misaligned doors. You can see if the hinges are badly worn. Sometimes they get so bad that the pins actually wear thru past the worn bushings and into the hinge assembly itself. Although I rarely see them that bad, they have been known to do that in more severe cases. Do you have a pic of the whole right side of the car? Also how is the gap between the front fender and forward edge of the door? If it's just the hinges that affect the alignment, they can be easily replaced.

Wagon #2 sounds like a bit of a mess. You're going to have to assess the two and pick the one that has the most potential.

fresh paint, blue interior, is this the Malibu wagon that was for sale in the Flint Michigan area last fall? I had a buddy go look at it and told me to run away it's nothing like it apears in the CL ad....

the front edge of the door and the fender are even on both sides, the passenger side door at the top sticks out away from the body. I was thinking of offering $1000 for wagon number 2. Wagon #1 (above photos)I got him down to $1150, the only tnings that worries me about eating #1 is the misaligned doors.

I think there is something funky about the alignment of those doors. The rear door doesn't look that bad between the rear edge and the quarter panel. The left side looks pretty good for the most part.

I would put it up on a lift as TC suggests. You can get a full birds eye view of the frame, etc. from underneath.

both of my wings were broken. I wedded the pivot back on them both. It isn't much harder than changing the unit, it seems like I had to remove a few rivets to get the glass out of the frame.

good luck with which ever one you pick!
