Hello all!

I just got a 1986 regal and the radio wasn't working properly. I bought a new pioneer head unit and the scosche wiring adapter and wired it up. I plugged it in and there is no power, I rechecked my connections and still no power. If I plug the old radio in it does in fact power on. What am I missing?

Any help is appreciated.

Do you have the 12V constant hooked up? It might not be in the factory harness.

Here is my wiring adapter, the red wire has a corresponding red wire on the adapter.

I tried taking the constant and splicing it into the fuse box, but still no power.

try hooking the yellow wire and the red wire to the positive battery terminal and the black to the ground to make sure it in fact works.

the yellow wire wire should be hooked up to constant 12v the red wire needs to be 12v switched. and it looks like you have the yellow going to the dimmer wiring....
