I have Hooker Aero chambers on the Malibu and love them.

I picked up a set of Borla Pro XS for the Cutlass but have no idea how loud they are or what they sound like but they were new and free

New and free items are nice!! Depending on how much I have to pay in for taxes today, probly pick up those chrome headers and have a new exhaust installed in the next couple days. Or do the cheap route and just slap mufflers on it for now.....

I had Sanderson shorties with custom 2.5" down pipes, all under the passenger hump into a compact 2.5" X pipe into a back half of a Hooker 2.5" cat back system with Aerochamber mufflers which exits behind the tires. It sounded amazing, I have never heard a better sounding exhaust, only slightly on the loud side. I think the Brougham interior helps keep the noise down inside. I moved it over to my 70S Cutlass, first with no tail pipes, then full out the back. Too much cruising drone and full throttle wasn't as nice as in the G body. Straight through mufflers are good, Jones makes a cheap straight through stainless muffler, according to reviews. It all depends on what sound you want. Here is a clip of my exhaust, play it on a big speaker, on my phone is higher pitched than it was, on my TV is much closer to the actual sound. I am putting it back on my 88 for sound and the much improved top end performance it gave the 260 over around 2" dual exhaust.

Wow. That sounds really nice. I want my car to sound like That! My GF is actually pushing me to put on better exhaust and nice rims before car show season. My car has came along way since I bought it last year. I was on the edge of selling it out of frustration but This forum has really helped me out and now I see night and day difference in my car.

I think it sounds ok. I would probly change rims on it first but GF wants the exhaust to sound more mean.

Thats a pretty mean chop already. What does she want a mootang sound?

That sounds good. What is your current set up for exhaust? My clip was only with a 204/214 cam. With filled crossovers on the heads, the cold idle sounded like that. You have a nice car, those factory rims are nice, hang on to them. Look at the Hurst Dazzlers for rims.

Guess she wants a nice rumble/growly sound. Unknown rusty Headers and look like they've been patched up a few times. performer rpm cam. No cats. Looks like 2.5" pipe. Can't see a name on the mufflers. The current rims are decent. Just kinda pitted/aged. I like the torque thrusts look
