So I finished my wiring last night and attached the negative cable to check and make sure that everything was working. As soon as I connected the negative my headlight buzzer started up. The only way to shut it off is to put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position :? Its doing it constant. The door can be closed with no key in the ignition

Let's hear some ideas here :|

The only stuff I could find in searching this topic was people that were having problems with the buzzer working at all

Did you have your steering column apart at all during your project?
There is a small metal tab that slides in next to the lock cylinder that opens/closes the circuit for the key buzzer. If this is installed incorrectly, it can **** with the buzzer.
Also check your connections at your door jamb switches, and where the seatbelt harness plugs in under the seat for any issues.

Or you could take the easy way out and disconnect the buzzer...

That was my first thought

The only wiring I did was relocated the battery to the trunk and wired up an electric fuel pump. I haven't messed with any wiring under the dash during this part of my project.

Headlight switch is kind of a weird one 😳 I have all of my lights on toggle switches and I just used the original plug and just pressed the male spade connectors into the terminals. But I did this last year. Never had any issues with it before the engine swap started

I was thinking if the headlite switch activates the buzzer it may be giving a false signal...or does it get the signal from the dash lites...On my GP the lite switch has some dead spots and if the dash lites are not on the buzzer won't buzzzzzzzzz

Well my original headlight switch controls the dash lights as well. I know it would beep with the dash lights on in the past. I guess I need to go ahead and hard wire my toggle switches. I don't know why it would start doing this now and not right after I wired the toggles in

I'm not saying that is the cause, just throwing out some suggestions. Like Blake mentioned it could be in the door switches

I was thinking the door jamb switch, but it does it even when the key is not in the ignition. The door jamb switch only makes its contact when the key is in the ignition (I believe) :|
