Here y'all go...... That little blue light beside the on button is all ya get when ya go through all the trouble of replacing that bulb... lol.... It's on whenever the ignition is on.
Location of offending bulb case..... It just kinda hangs out back there....... Easier access when you remove the trim surrounding the cluster.....

I know this is an old thread, but just wanted to add my findings as it may help someone in the future.
The easiest way to get to the bulb for the switch, is to go through the drivers side front speaker mount
1) remove the grill insert ( using a flat head screwdriver)
2) remove the two Phillips screws, pull speaker out. No need to disconnect it
3) you will see a t10 type socket with a grey plastic hood
4) remove grey hood
5) change bulb
6) Reassemble
The socket will only seen voltage in the keyed on position , you will see a blue light in the top left corner of the switch
