Headlight Upgrade help needed

I have a 1986 regal limited
recently I upgraded to a semi sealed style headlight with halogen bulbs (not HID)
I added the wiring harness for upgrade with ceramic plugs, 2 relays, grounds
that is designed to go straight to battery, while still connecting to the existing headlight wiring to function with the factory headlight switch.
lights come on and work, but when I turn on high beams, they go off?

relays appear to be functioning correct,
lights on - one relay switches - lights on - all 4
hi beam - first relay switches off - second relay switches - lights off
hi beam again - second relay switches only - all 4 lights back on

am I missing something? should I remove the factory relays? as I am now using the 2 new relays?

When I used halogen bulbs with the conversion lenses the headlight switch would trip when I turned the high beams on. I put a relay in for the high beams and had no problems after that. I used the stock wires and headlight connectors

I had to repin the relay harness, if I remember correctly, the sealed beam plug has the wires in a different position then the H4 style bulbs.

didn't think about wires set different on sealed vs the H4
am thinking that is the issues, as both relays are triggering, just not as they should

Correct -- you have to "re-pin". Wiring is different between sealed beam and Halogens.

yeah, that was the issue,
totally forgot and I read that already about repin wire
just a airhead moment
