Need some help in a major way. My '87 Cut was stolen, when I got it back they had stripped it. They took my Euro clip so Ive got an '85 clip to replace it. They had cut the wires clean so I just tried to splice the wires, match the colors and thought I'd be good. All my other other light are working, turn signals, taillights etc. But the headlights won't kick on.
Frustrated can't even describe it. I was ready to sell it, but I'm to damn attached. I need any kind of help on what it could be...got to get it up and running ASAP. :? Thanks

when they stripped it, to what extent did the strip it? did they simply ONLY take the euro front end? surely they took more, and in the process messed up your wiring or mess with your fuse box. Your experiencing NO other issues beside your headlights don't work?

there are two wire harnesses for the front, I would change the one for the lights and it'll be a cleaner job. I think any harness from your year of G body are the same

If you need to I have a harness for the front of the car that controls headlights, marker lights etc.. I can take a picture of everything for you if you need it. Just PM if that's what you would like.

I would also opt to replace the section of harness, and eliminate the splices, if you can. Make sure all your grounds are connected...very important. Your lights won't come on if they're not grounded. You'll generally see the grounds connected to your rad support with a hex head self tapping screw(s). Usually just above the headlight area. Should be black wires.

When they stripped it, they did a clean job except for hacking out my vin#s... The grounds seem to stillconnected. I have looked for a new harness but every one I find is in pretty bad shape. Is there a fuse or relay that could be a problem?

The fuse would be one of the first things to check. Do your other lights work...turn signal indicators, hazard , parking lights?

Quick question, do you know if the headlights them selves are any good?
