Welcome to the forum! I'm from Michigan as well and sought a car that I specifically wanted and had to go out of state to get. Lucky for me it was only 5 hours away in Chicago. I was skeptical as well because I had never bought a car out of state before and really didn't know how I would get it home if I wasn't able to drive it. Once again, I was lucky because the previous owner of the car assured me that I would be able to make it back to Michigan. So... I drove my 1987 GP w/ T-tops back from Chicago with no problems at all and it's still doing me well.

See ya around Michigander!

Welcome to the forum! That is one nice GP! Look like a survivor! I love it! Haha Is it original paint and vinyl?
What engine/trans does it have?
Thank you for the warm welcome! Yes, everything on/in the car is original, as far as I can tell. I am not sure exactly what stock rear-end came in them...although I am hoping to learn that from this forum, but the engine is stock 301 4.9 liter. I have been trying to get som e complete pictures to post in here, but every time I get a minute...life happens and my picture taking does not. It even has the original CB radio that came in it.

Hi AJ, Welcome aboard! I love the 79 GP's especially the pointy nose and grille and the awesome dash setup. You've come to the right forum for all the information that you may need along the way. Good luck!
