Hi my name is Peter and im from Massachusetts and i Just bought my first g-body 1986 cutlass salon from original owner with 23,000 miles and need some ideas in what direction to go in ? i would like to install a set of headers and a true daul exh in car maybe cam and carb or should i just pull factory 307 out and go with a 350 ? .. if so what kind of headers do they sell for my 307 that actually fit? Any help would be much appreciated.

Cool welcome to the goody life, I'm from Rhode Island,
Depends if you're trying to keep it original, with those miles I would.

Wow, 23000 miles. I'd leave it stock; anything you do to it at this point will only drop the value. If it had 70 or 80000 miles, I'd say go for it.

:worthless: but stock

Welcome to the site. Post some pics. Sounds like a solid car.

Keep the original 307, drop in a mild cam, put on a true dual with Flowmaster Super 40s and an H-pipe. It'll sound awesome.

Later on, you can swap it out for a SBC if you really want more power.
