No everything will be turning at the right speed, just a question of belt traction. Unlike underdrive pulleys which cause charging and cooling issues.
Ok. For some reason I thought pulling the pump to 1 side would damage it. I tried looking up a.c. delete pulleys as well, couldn't find a v belt style for olds. Would be nice to have a serpentine belt style but seems like there's alot involved with that trying to make it work.No everything will be turning at the right speed, just a question of belt traction. He has to or get different pulleys.

If what I have works, then I will use it. Don't need to spend 500 on a serpentine system. That's why I was gonna throw the a.c. back on. Because I'm ok with that if the squeal goes away.Want it to be budget friendly.....
Well, kinda. Maybe. 83 and early 84 had double bottom pulley (triple if you count the A.I.R. belt) and triple water pump pulley (with the front one a tad different size for the alternator). The alternator came off the water pump pulley only. In actuality, G47 VIN Y had this system pretty much 82-88 IIRC. See top right picture (LV2 w/C60) below. Since all VIN 9 required C60.I have know idea why GM did this in the first place. It didn't happen till the G bodies. The Vin 9 cars have the triple bottom pulley.
